Instead of buttons, the Xiaomi Redmi Buds 3 Lite earbuds feature a capacitive touch interface. This means that the outer surface of each earbud acts as a touchpad. Tap either earbud twice to answer a call or skip to the next song, tap twice to reject/end a call or activate the voice assistant, or long-press to start or pause playback. Finally, long-press both earbuds to enter or exit low-latency mode.
The controls are touch-sensitive, and there are some neat features such as a low-latency mode for gaming enthusiasts and electronic noise cancellation during calls.
